teaching

I’m passionate about helping actors develop a strong, confident and connected approach to their craft.

I trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, England, where I received a BA in Acting. My approach combines traditional actor training with the practical demands of working in today’s film and television industry, with a particular focus on text, voice, movement, character and truthful performance.

My teaching includes Voice and Movement, Scene Study and Filmmaking. In Scene Study, I focus on helping actors understand character, relationships, objectives and text while developing the ability to listen, respond and remain truthful in performance. My filmmaking classes give students the opportunity to explore the actor’s process from both sides of the camera and gain a practical understanding of working on set.

I’ve taught performers at a variety of levels, from young actors discovering their craft to emerging professionals preparing for careers in film and television.

I currently teach Voice and Movement, Scene Study and Filmmaking in the Conservatory and FTV  Programs at Vancouver Acting School and I'm available for coaching.
